Yes, am querying elsewhere, with a special love for agents who already have clients from outside the UK.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35623128.post-1162998768223175962006-11-08T10:12:00.000-05:002006-11-08T10:12:00.000-05:00Previous Anonymous:Your experience does not relate...Previous Anonymous:

Your experience does not relate to all UK agents. Some mention on their websites that they don't represent overseas authors, but if you check the lists of others, you will see they do have clients in other parts of the world.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35623128.post-1162991525179459152006-11-08T08:12:00.000-05:002006-11-08T08:12:00.000-05:00I live in the UK and my agent is in New York. I know some places say they won't consider writers from abroad, and I can understand why, but there's always an exception to the rule.Naomihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18388312817437378315noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35623128.post-1162970718173374902006-11-08T02:25:00.000-05:002006-11-08T02:25:00.000-05:00See, this just goes to show that a lot depends on ...See, this just goes to show that a lot depends on the individual agent. Miss Snark does not like to represent people who live outside the US. She may make an exception for Canada, I'm not sure. The agent the Rejector works for doesn't care. Vive la difference. The only way around this is to follow another Snarkism - query widely.

Anonni-mouse, I'm guessing that if they said they don't represent writers outside the UK, that is exactly what they meant. Try someone else. And check their website first to see if they specify that kind of thing.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35623128.post-1162957803223425292006-11-07T22:50:00.000-05:002006-11-07T22:50:00.000-05:00I've had a couple of rejections from the UK saying...I've had a couple of rejections from the UK saying that they don't represent writers outside the country.
